1st Defence Regiment
The Corps’ principal field formation, comprising Headquarters Company, A Company and Support Company.
Royal Engineer Troop
Provides field engineering, route clearance and emergency infrastructure support.
Signals and Logistics Group
Maintains communications, transport, supply and medical support.
Task-group model
For exercises and operations, personnel may be drawn from the regiment, engineers and support group into a single task group. Command and support arrangements are confirmed before deployment.
Reserve contribution
Reserve personnel reinforce communications, transport, engineering and civil-support activity after completing annual readiness training.
